'Lift' your face - without a surgery.

'Lift' your face - without a surgery.

May be you want to look best for a special occasion. Or perhaps your face would love a boost after a stressful time. But you're not up for surgery, fillers, dermabrasion or lasers - so what's to do? Here are some (non-surgical) fixes that works.

Try CACI. These mostly involve probes carrying low-voltage electric currents which are moved over your face to make the muscles jump around and work harder - giving temporary lift - sometimes version of these are used in tandem with facials. Of many that have been launched past two decades, the one that has stood the test of time world-wide is CACI, which stands for Computer Aided Cosmetology Instrument. From the one original option (CACI Classic), there is now an almost bewildering range which extend to microdermabrasion and ultrasonic peeling, and beyond the face to include CACI for bust enhancement, stretch marks and cellulite. For a temporary (24 to 48 hours) boost, a CACI treatment can be rejuvenating. For longer term results, CACI recommend 10 to 15 treatments and then maintenance sessions every four to six weeks.

Find a great facialist. A good facial with massage by skilled hands can give some gorgeous instant results. Some facialists undoubtedly have healing hands.

Get the needle! The needles truly aren't scary. As said by someone, 'Beauty is about being balanced on the inside, in every way - physically and psychologically. If you feel good about yourself, it reflects in the way you look. Dry, wrinkled, saggy skin mirrors what is happening in your body, so its a root of the problems to be treated upon.' The common problem of vertical lines between your eyebrows can relate to liver energy not flowing properly (frowning too much is a factor too), so as well as needling the lines themselves.

Just say 'ouch'. Much the most painful treatments is having the muscles inside the mouth at the base of the tongue being released. The results are extraordinary; any downward drift perks up and the contour of the face seem redefined - truly a non-surgical facelift. This internal facial massage is truly a secret for looking younger. They put on gloves and massage inside because all your stress is in your jaws. It hurts very much though.

Do it yourself. If you haven't got the time, budget or opportunity to have a treatment, you really can achieve wonders by yourself. Start by sipping some still room-temperature water, then spend a moment or two focusing on your breathing.

  • Do this breathing exercise throughout the day: inhale through your nose to a count of three, exhale through your mouth for five, then pause for a second or two and let your body and mind go still and release tension.
  • If possible, apply an instant face reviver.
  • Massage your face to relax muscles, allowing oxygenated blood to flow freely and toxins to be released, leaving you with a fresher, brighter complexion, less puffiness and fewer wrinkles.
  • Practice some yoga, or lie flat on your back for five minutes, knees bend, eyes closed (with damp tea bags over them if possible). In your mind's eyes, see blue sky - and as stray through pop into your brain, convert them into clouds and let them float away.

Think nice thoughts. Your skin and face reflect your state of mind. If you're stressed, you run the risk of looking pinched and peaky. Try thinking of a couple of nice things that have happened to you today - remember someone you love and, if you're having an iffy day, that you never know what delicious thing might be around the next corner. Even if life is really tough (and it happens to everyone), there's almost always something positive. Gratitude and hope are great beautifiers.
